I’ve previously suggested ideas for those who use “permanent” pinboards and have to set History to ‘Forever’. Which means saving everything unless you remember to pause. I’ve yet to see any movement on that solution. Maybe it’s too complex.
Here’s an easy solution: create two Clipboards. Maintain the standard Clipboard, but create an Unpinned-Clipboard. This clipboard would contain only clips that are unpinned copies, all the miscellaneous stuff. This would allow users to highlight everything and do a mass delete/purge and freeing up memory. As an added feature, provide a checkbox to ‘Delete All’.
Currently, everything lives in the Clipboard, even clips that are in a Pinboard, making it very hard to audit out the plethora of one off copies one makes every day.
