I hope Paste can support a more complete set of Markdown syntax along with real-time rendered preview. This should include, but not be limited to: headings, bold/italic text, blockquotes, code blocks and inline code, task lists, tables, footnotes, TOC, horizontal rules, hyperlinks, images, and common extended syntax such as checkboxes and syntax highlighting. Ideally, the editor would allow users to write Markdown on the left while seeing a live rendered preview on the right, or switch freely between Edit / Preview / Split View modes.
The need for this feature comes from the fact that Markdown has become a universal standard for everyday writing and documentation—whether it’s product specs, meeting notes, coding notes, blog drafts, or knowledge-base materials. If Paste can natively support and correctly render full Markdown syntax, it will significantly reduce the friction of importing content from other tools such as Obsidian, Notion, or GitHub, while preserving formatting consistently. It would also allow users to complete the entire workflow—from quick capture to structured documentation—directly within Paste, without constantly switching between multiple apps.
It would be even better if Paste provided a small toolbar with commonly used Markdown symbols such as #, *, [, {, > and others, so users can insert them with a single tap instead of typing everything manually.
